orSlow is known for its reproductions of iconic military garb, and this US Army Tropical Jacket is exactly that. Made in Japan from a mid-weight ripstop, this jacket is a repro of the Tropical Combat Jacket “Type I” (often referred to as the Jungle Jacket) which first saw use in the early 1960s. 

It's cut in a loose silhouette to allow ventilation, with four angled patch pockets for ease of wear and adequate storage. The button placket is hidden, a detail initially introduced to reduce the risk of snagging buttons in the rough undergrowth of Vietnam.
